About ERDAT

What is East Riding Domestic Abuse Trust (ERDAT)?

We are a small local charity set up in 2003 dedicated to support local individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse.

We want those surviving domestic abuse to know they are not alone, they have not been forgotten and there is financial help available to enable them to move on with their lives.

We raise money through grants, donations and fundraising activities.

What do we do?

We provide funding for urgently needed items and essentials to those who have fled domestic abuse, live in the East Riding of Yorkshire and cannot access other funding.

We raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Context/Background

The Trustees and members are from diverse backgrounds including but not limited to, culture, skills (law, education, health, management, business, academia) race, religion. We currently do not have any members who have declared they have been victims of domestic abuse.

Charity set up in 2003 by a local solicitor to provide emergency funding to assist those fleeing domestic abuse to secure safe accommodation and essential household items.

There were ……..referrals for safe accommodation in the East Riding in 2025 / 2026.
